February 23: Infernal Parade update...

Source: creature-corner.com

According to creature-corner.com, some debate was sparked over on McFarlan'es message boards as to what, exactly, the new Tortured Souls line would consist of. Some had a theory that it would be a different series all together, so this weekend Jon Goff, one of the staff members at McFarlane Toys, officially declared that what was Clive Barker's Infernal Parade: Tortured Souls III, will now just be Clive Barker's Infernal Parade.

Initially they had thought the new figures, which are said to be circus-themed, would fit into the existing TS world, but as it evolved both Barker and McFarlane agreed it would work best as it's own series. As Goff put it; "Think of the Infernal Parade as the Nightbreed to Tortured Souls' Hellraiser - same creators, but with a new twist"

Goff went on to explain that there more than likely will be more Tortured Souls figures, but nothing's for sure until Todd says so. The very cool thing is that means we could be looking at two ongoing collaborations between the two sickos instead of just one, and that's never a bad thing.

February 19: Hellraiser not coming to TV?

It seems that the reported Hellraiser TV program is not happening after all. Creature-corner.com reports that, "What it's being made is a Hellraiser short directed by an English filmmaker, and said filmmaker has been posting on the Cenobite message boards for a while now detailing the trials and tribulations of his film. He clarifies that the short was being made as a possible promo for a possible series, but nothing has even come across the ever-watchful eyes of even Miramax yet...

...The film is currently finishing it's post-production, and they'll see where it might go from there."

February 16: Hellraiser coming to TV?

Source: creature-corner.com

According to creature-corner.com, there's been a rumor about a possible animated Hellraiser series being in development...

"Well, this past week a scooper for Celluloid Shockers attended an animation forum at the Lighthouse Media Center in Wolverhampton, England, where the man working on the title sequence for a Hellraiser series, James Eastope, was on hand. Note I did not say animated series...from what this scooper learned it's going to be live-action. If you go to this link and click on the "Animation Forum" news bite, you can read more about Eastrope's previous work and see that it does list a Hellraiser series as one of his latest projects.

Eastrope told the scooper they're going for a very David Lynch style sequence using stop motion animation and real dead birds. Yum! That's just the opening, mind you. The series itself was described as "urban gothic", essentially a "Friday the 13th: The Series" or "Freddy's Nightmares" -type show with different tales relating somewhat to the Hellraiser mythos.

The cenobites might show up from time to time, but the show will be more about the humans than the beasts that torture them...

...The show is being made for the BBC, Channel 4.

The CS boys say that some images should be appearing on this site pretty soon..."

February 10: Neca's Hellraiser line-up

According to creature-corner.com, here is the line-up for Neca's Hellraiser: Series III toy line.

Due this May, this latest series will consist of the following four figures:

Pinhead (Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth)
Female Cenobite (Hellraiser)
Frank (Hellraiser)
Bloodline Twins (Hellraiser: Bloodline)

This series will be two figures short (the last two prominently featured six) because of the "bonus" feature that comes with each figure. Three of the four figures will debut at this weeks Toy Fair, except for the Hell on Earth Pinhead which is still in the works. The trio of figures will also make their appearance on NECA's Hellraiser site on Thursday, February 12th as well.

February 10: Hellraiser: Deader release date

Creature-corner.com reports that Hellraiser: Deader will be released direct to video on August 31st.

Hellraiser: Deader is about a journalist who discovers a group that can bring the dead back to life and slowly becomes fascinated by their world. It's directed by Rick Bota from a script by Thirteen Ghosts writer Neil Marshall Stevens. A script that had nothing to do with Hellraiser until Dimension got their hands on it...

Besides having its official site finally redesigned, NECA has officially announced the third series of the popular Hellraiser line. Series 3 will include the Bloodline Twins, Original Female Cenobite, Hell on Earth Pinhead, Frank, Dr. Chanard Deluxe and I'm sure they have one or two more surprises up their sleeve. Check back next weekend for images that I'm sure will pop up from this years New York Toy Fair

February 5: 'Deader' Script Review Pokes its Way Online

Scarecrow from over at Cenobite.com dropped me the following email, "The middle of last year I received a copy of two scripts. One was that of Hellraiser: Hellseeker but the other, of more interest, was Hellraiser: Deader. With no release date in site I have finally turned to reading the script and a review can be found on my website by clicking here. Is this the real deal you ask? Well, the 'Hellseeker' script it came with certainly seems to be and everything that I read points to it being genuine. Do not email asking for a copy, however, I will be keeping this off the internet as much as possible out of respect for the film makers who are as much in the dark as us as too a release date for the movie."

February 2: HELLRAISER SEQUEL PICS GALORE!

According to creature-corner.com, a French Hellraiser fan site has a ton of pics from Deader and Hellworld. Some you may have seen before, others are brand new. From the main site, here, click on "gallery" for Deader photos. If you're back on the home page, scroll down, and click on the red link above the Kari Wuhrer pic and it'll take you to a split screen Deader/Hellworld page, scroll down again and you'll find another link to a Hellworld gallery.

They could see a direct-to-video release sometime in third quarter of '04 though. And, rumor has it, Doug Bradley has recorded a commentary track for the Deader disc.
