Dreamcatcher

The recently released Stephen King movie adaptation, Dreamcatcher, is a ride like no other that everyone should take at least once. The casting wasn’t the best (Damien Lewis as “Jonesy” and “Mr. Gray”; Thomas Jane as “Henry”; Jason Lee as “Beaver”; Timothy Olyphant as “Pete”; Morgan Freeman as “Colonel Curtis”; Tom Sizemore as “Owen Underhill”), but Jason Lee was near perfect as “Beaver”, he had each of the “Beaverisms” to go with his amazing performance as the character. Although, like all book adaptations, much was cut, the movie stayed close to the story with the bathroom scene; in an interview about Dreamcatcher Stephen King said, “Dreamcatcher will do for the toilet what Psycho did for the shower”. The changes made fit the movie just right, although a longer running time would have been for more character development, but in the near two hours spent in the theater, it was well worth it as a loyal Stephen King fan.
