News: (Thanks to Andrew Migliore) (Thanks to Thom Maurer) June 27: El Necronomicon
de los Templarios On page thirty-five, the filmography ends with this note: "The Winter 1993 edition of US fanzine VIDEOOZE announced that Ossorio was 'shopping around a script for the fifth BLIND DEAD film, EL NECRONOMICON DE LOS TEMPLARIOS'. At the time of compiling this booklet the script has not been optioned, either in Spain or elsewhere; go figure..." Christopher also found one mention of that title on Google, an alt.horror post from 1999 (click here). An individual named Bob wrote "Incidentally, a few years ago I had an opportunity to look over the script for a fifth 'Blind Dead' film De Ossorio was shopping around. (EL NECRONOMICON DE LOS TEMPLARIOS). I vaguely remember it having something to do with the Templars being 'nuclear-powered' and terrorizing a bunch of campers in the woods. I am not making this up!!!" If anyone has any further
information, I'd be interested in hearing about it... According to Moviehole.net, Sam Raimi had the following to say: Sam Raimi told IESB.net (at the "Spider-Man 2" Premiere) that he'd be interested in doing both an "Evil Dead 4" and a "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash". Says Raimi on Evil Dead 4, "I'd like to make another Evil Dead movie. Right now I don't have any plans to, but it would be a lot of fun". And on Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash he remarks, "That sounds interesting. I'd love to read a script? If one exists". Unfortunately, Sam is
concentrating on getting "Spider-Man 3" off the ground,
so any and all other projects are years away

freaks that live below a cemetery and come out to feed during thunderstorms.
In Evil Never Dies, Theriel, the Black Angel is summoned from

the Dark From the official website: Edward Carnby (Christian Slater) is a private investigator specializing in unexplainable supernatural phenomena. His cases delve into the dark corners of the world, searching for truth in the occult remnants of ancient civilizations. Now, the greatest mystery of his past is about to become the most dangerous case he has ever faced. With the help of his ex-flame, archeologist Aline Cedrac (Tara Reid), and his bitter rival, government agent Richard Burke (Stephen Dorff), Edward Carnby is about to learn that just because you don¹t believe in something, that doesn't mean it can't kill you. Alone in the Dark is based on the best-selling Atari videogame series. (Thanks to Bob Brinkman) For immediate release: "THE CALL OF CTHULHU" Sean Branney (prod.)

Legacy updates (Thanks to Edward Martin
III) While doing research on another film I came across a message board post from an individual by the name of Robert Olsson. In it he mentioned that he and a friend are currently working on a script and will be shooting (this summer) a short horror film based on H.P. Lovecraft's novel, "The Hole". Since I'm not familiar with a Lovecraft story by that name, I'll put this one in the rumor section until I can find out more. The film is to be shot in Sweden, so is it possible that "The Hole" is the Swedish name for another story? More as is becomes available. (Thanks to Robert P.

Bond) Have you found The Yellow Sign on TV? According to Aaron, Richard
Becker has started a public access cable show called "Doctor
Morbius's Movie Mausoleum". Similar to other horror hosts,
he shows cheesy horror movies punctuated with humorous comments. During
a showing of Bela Legosi's The Gorilla, he interrupts it halfway
and plays The Yellow Sign instead. Aaron is interviewed (as some
guy off the street) where he gets his name wrong, forgets about the
plot, etc. It will be making the rounds to other public access stations,
so check back for show times in your area. Aaron submitted his screenplay
adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space"
(see Forthcoming Terrors) to
Columbia College Chicago's "Written Image" contest. The screenplay
took first place in the contest! Aaron will be interviewing
director Guillermo del Toro (Blade II, Devil's Backbone,
Hellboy) about his career for a retrospective to be printed in
an upcoming issue of CultCuts magazine. CultCuts also picked Aaron's
The Yellow Sign as one of their favorite short films of 2003. Jean-Paul Ouellette's
film The Unnamable II: The Statement of Randolph Carter has been
released on DVD (simply called The Unnamable II), and can be
found for under $6.00 at your local Wal-mart! Unfortunately, the only
extra feature is scene access

(Thanks to http://www.reallyscary.com/) According to gorezone.net and PC Zone Magazine, there is a another Evil Dead game on the way. Bruce Campbell mentioned it while talking about a possible Evil Dead 4 (in an interview with Ain't It Cool News). Campbell said: "We've got these Evil Dead games coming out left and right. The new one's coming out next year, next Spring. I did the voice for it for Cranky Pants." There's no further information on THQ or Cranky Pants...
