November 12: Read Me a Story screening
in Oz!
Read
Me a Story, the debut short film
from independent film-house Unfilmable
Films, will screen as part of A Night
of Horror, a new horror film festival
based in Sydney, Australia!
The festival, which encourages filmmakers
to submit short films inspired by
the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, is
scheduled for March 23-25. According
to festival co-director Dean Bertram,
a long-time fan of the iconic horror
author, the festival aims to be as
Lovecraft "friendly" as
possible. "At the very least
we will be dedicating one whole
screening block to Lovecraft inspired
films," states Bertram. |
Films
submitted in the Lovecraft category, compete
for the festival's "Best Lovecraft
Film" award as well as several general
festival awards, including: Best of Fest,
Best Scream Queen, Best Special Effects,
and Best Score.
Thanks to the festival's sponsors, which
include Kodak and People magazine, winners
will share in several thousand dollars
worth of cash and prizes.
More
details are available at the festival's
official website: www.anightofhorror.com
(Thanks
to Dean Bertram)
