late
bloomer live performance t-shirts
Now
I can die in peace. I've achieved t-shirt status. Back
in October, I had the immense pleasure of being invited
out to perform the story that Craig Macneill's film was
originally based on at the 12th Annual HP Lovecraft Film
Festival. It was a blast and "late bloomer"
rocked the house. Lo and behold, I met the likes of one
Mr. Rick A. Mullins -- fellow writer and Lovecraft enthusiast.
Mr. Mullins went ahead and documented my reading of the
story, only to go ahead and design a t-shirt that you
yourself can order directly from the website below. I
honestly don't know what to say. The doggie t-shirt is
a personal favorite...
"Late
Bloomer" Live Performance
Nine views of Clay McLeod Chapman's hilarious, puberty-reminiscent,
live performance of "Late Bloomer" at
Portland, Oregon's Hollywood Theatre on October 7, 8,
& 9, '05.

Please
support Rick in his entrepreneurial efforts. His personal
website is at http://dracomoon.com/.
I'm blushing over the notion that he believes I'm t-shirt
worthy in the first place. Now he just has to convince
somebody out there to buy one...

to Clay McLeod Chapman)

8: Mortuary makes an appearance
Bloody-disgusting.com
reports that Tobe Hooper's Mortuary made an appearance
at the American
Film Market (AFM). No word on when the film will see
a theatrical or DVD release...
From
bloody-disgusting.com:
"We
did get a chance to sit in on Tobe Hoopers new film
'Mortuary,' which was a fun film with some cool FX, mixed
acting, hot teen sluts with massive fake tits, and a brand
spankin' new killer called Bobby Fowler. Its kind-of a
fun adventure that ultimately doesnt make a whole
lot of sense in the end, but it was still a fun ride.
Unlike 'Toolbox Murders' this one was almost built for
a more broad audience."

November 3: Gordon and Paoli talk Lovecraft
Dread Central caught
up with Stuart Gordon and Dennis Paoli at last weekends
Chiller Theater event, and Dreams in the Witch House
and House of Re-Animator were among the topics
discussed...
When asked about Dreams in the Witch House, Dennis
Paoli told Dread Central, "When Stuart was asked into
'Masters' and decided he wanted to do a Lovecraft story,
he called me up. We've been at this for decades, mostly
working on Lovecraft, so now we were at it again!"...
...and
Stuart Gordon spoke about their long awaited project,
House of Re-Animator. "It occurred
to me when Donald Rummsfeld showed up in the White House
a few years ago that he had to be dead," explains
Gordon. "I really did think he was, and the more
I thought about it the more I realized that pretty much
all the guys running this country are dead. This looks
like a job for Herbert West!"
Finally,
Dennis Paoli passed along this great line that he's written
for the House screenplay: Of the Dead, By the
Dead, For the Dead...
